Not gonna lie, time literally flies in June. It's been imperative that I 've had to make quite a few decisions or events. Let's lay it out.

Ordering a Brand-New MacBook

Can you believe that this is my fourth MacBook in my life? I started using a MacBook in about 2017, and it's already been 10 years!

It's not like I don't like Windows, but the keyboard layout on Windows doesn't feel the same when I type on macOS anymore.

I failed to figure out why shipping would take more than half a month. Is it affect by a RAM shortage? I don't know. On the bright side, I wouldn't be able to use it for now because I'm in the army.

I paid for it in one payment. There is a backstory. I wanted to pay for it in 3 installments. I lowered my credit card spending limit because my machine got hacked and felt nervous about it.

But I never realized that I couldn't raise it again at will. Back in the day, I raised my debit card spending limit, so I thought it applied to the credit card similarly. What a stupid.

It was definitely a fallacy in my brain and I learned a lesson through real-life experience. Thank you.

Okay, enough of payment. One of my mottos is the following.

The faster the CPU you have, the better your performance at work becomes.

Today, some ridiculous phenomena have emerged as AI-agents have evolved. Developers turn on YouTube while their AI agents work from time to time. What the heck.

A faster CPU gets rid of the gap between your reasoning trails during the development process. If building projects and reports from AI-agents become faster, then you can stay focused on your work. Right?

I believe that this positive cycle affects not only local focus intensity but also overall performance eventually.

Interview and Chats

Recently, I can't stop thinking about my next career move.

As a developer who wanted to become a superman like John Carmack, I sometimes think "Is it the right fit for me?" Am I passionate enough to construct "The Great Thing"? What drives me to shove myself into the deep immersion?

Finally, I decided that it's mandatory to find a great leader who can pivot and suggest the next destination, S-class teammates who can give me precise feedback, and a truly immersive environment. I believe those help me feel motivated 24/7 on my work.

I mentioned those desires exactly in my previous book report 18 months ago! Didn't I?

If you ask me, I'm not that selfish. As of me, entering a company and an office means give-and-take stuff. If they give me something I want, I'm obliged to return something more valuable inspiring to them. Reasonable?

In that context, I've been trying to have a soft spot for sharing great conversations with a few developers, leaders, interviewers. Actually, it's so much fun. I can't get enough of it. I can do it all day long, discussing frameworks and sharing ideas.

From there, I got into some new topics and got involved in them. I've learned a bunch of things and achieved some triumphs there. Yup, I've grown. Can my heart start racing again?

Topcit

Topcit will be the last certificate exam that I took in my military service. It's a kind of exam to test a bunch of topics across overall development industry.

Honestly, I didn't study for it at all. I also quit the test center as soon as possible because I was supposed to go to PC room and play Overwatch with army buddies(roommates).

But I can't complain. I'm satisfied with this result. At least I'm in the top 10%. Right?
