I have been studying tons of vocabulary, sentences and have been listening to a lot of English videos such as Ted Edu and several YouTube videos in Jan 2026. I'm going to organize what I have done.

Blog postings

As I decided when I created this blog, I wrote a number of grammar posts and personal daily postings. I have used ChatGPT to correct my sentences grammatically. It enabled me to write more natural sentences and words for posts and guided me how to arrange English sentences more fluently.

As I was practicing English writing, I created some personalized custom ChatGPT agents which had prompts that could guide me to write well-written sentences. It was such a cool subordinate of mine.

Anki Flashcard Master

As time goes by, I can use Anki flashcard better than before. Reviewing my Anki cards is part of my daily routine, and it's fun for me. I've created plenty of cards, and fixed the format of cards.

I use ChatGPT not only to correct my sentences but also to create Anki cards. Currently, I'm managing three Anki decks which are quiz, sentence and vocabulary.

Moreover, I purchased HyperTTS tokens to attach TTS sounds to each card. It helps me hear correct pronunciation of words and sentences.

Playing game with English

I've been playing Hollow Knight, a console game, on Nintendo Switch 2. The reason I wrote about it in this posting is that I'm playing it with English settings.

Initially, I hardly understood the words or grammar of the game. Because the words and grammatical structure of sentences in the game are somewhat old-fashioned for its mood, it was somewhat hard to read.

Given that, I didn't give up. When I met an unknown word or grammar, I stopped and created Anki cards repeatedly so far. It comes down to the fact that I only understand more than before for now.

But it's too much to understand whole sentences easily. If I hadn't played the game in English, I wouldn't have felt the mood of the game which the game designers intended.

Listen to English videos

I watched several English videos so that my YouTube Premium subscription wouldn't go to waste.

I've been watching English videos such as Ted Edu, Kurzgesatge , and so on. I hope that the more I listen to these videos, the more I can understand.

Honestly, I can't find myself such a big improvement. However, I believe that it's there even though it's subtle.

There are a lot of videos I've watched that I haven't posted on this blog. Writing about each video is a hassle. Isn't it?

Phrasal verb book

As I posted on this blog, I purchased and read a book titled 50 easy phrasal verbs which was written by the host of an English podcast I've been listening to.

It was quite helpful for me and I created Anki cards for all 50 verbs.

I didn't even know what phrasal verbs are before I started studying English recently.

At the moment, I know that using phrasal verbs naturally helps me speak English more fluently.

Conclusion

As I write the above, I'm proud of myself. I followed my plans. I'm keeping on learning what I didn't know. It's pleasant for me to stay focused on the things that I believe I have to do.

I'm excited about who I'll become next month.
