I'm back from a 3-day short leave. It's my first and last leave in May. This is because I'm going to update my leave schedule that was set for the last week of May due to parents' absence during that period.
Not gonna lie, it was really short. They say that as a sergeant, you're likely to feel natural when you return to the army like you're back home. But it isn't true.
There was nothing special, which means I'm already used to having this kind of leave. Going home, meeting girlfriend, eating good food, or feeling comfortable in front of my desk.
I spent most of my time playing Overwatch during leave. I could get the hang of playing it again after a lot of matches. It's only natural for me to still play it. This is because it's one of the well-made game ever in my opinion, and Blizzard team has been improving it a lot for a while now.
When I went back to the army today, something surprising happened to me. On the train, a woman next to me tried to take down her bag from the top shelf and dropped her tumbler onto my desk.
I was about to sleep and was really surprised by it. Unfortunately, my iPad was sitting on the mini table and became a poor victim. The tumbler ruthlessly broke the front display of my iPad, so I won't be able to use it for a few days.
Thankfully, she showed looked awkward and couldn't hold back her apology which made me feel like she was a responsible person, and we exchanged phone numbers for further compensation procedures.
Requesting a large amount of compensation made me feel like I was kind of guilty. But advice from my friends imposed I had to do it like that, or I'd regret it. You know, it's good practice for real-life negotiations. I want to say this experience will help me out in a range of awkward situations in the future. Won't it?
I requested her some money to repair the display, and she paid for it by all means. So, I'm going to the post office next week and send the device to the repair shop.
There are only 120 days left until I get discharged. It's time to go back outside military. Please save me from this a heck a lot of stressful environment!
